The murder of his father-in-law and the assault on his wife occurred at his rented house in Sumber Tempur Hamlet, Mojokerto, on Wednesday morning. The Police Chief stated that the perpetrator's father-in-law was aware of the assault on Sri Wahyuni, leading him to kill Siti Arafah, his mother-in-law.

The first issue was jealousy over his wife, who was considered irresponsible towards her family. The third was economic issues, indicating that there appeared to be an economic disparity between the victim's wife and husband within the family.

The suspect cried several times while recounting his marital life. He admitted that he had long known about his wife's affair but chose to remain silent until his emotions escalated. He stated that he had always felt unappreciated as a husband.
